Barnsley

Location: Yorkshire and the Humber

Population: 241,200 (2016)

Interesting fact: Barnsley is thriving market town, with over 7 million people a year visiting the town centre and its legendary markets established under a charter granted by Henry III in 1249.  The borough is an important hub for the nation’s logistics network, providing a home for many companies who distribute across the country, benefiting from Barnsley's location between the M1 and A1.
