We are delighted to announce that Jenny Riddell-Carpenter MP, Parliamentary Under-Secretary of State at Defra, will open the Rural Economy session at the Rural Services Network’s National Rural Conference 2026.
As the minister with responsibility for rural communities, her contribution will provide an important opening to a session exploring how rural economies can be supported to grow, regenerate and create opportunities for rural people and businesses.
The Rural Economy and Regeneration Session will bring together expert speakers to examine the challenges facing rural areas and the action needed to unlock their economic potential.
The RSN National Rural Conference takes place online from 14–17 September 2026 and is free to attend for eligible RSN members.
