Staff at Eden Housing Association (EHA) have been fundraising to buy much needed gifts for Hospice at Home Carlisle and North Lakeland.
Over the last year, staff at EHA held soup and sweet lunches, raffles, lucky squares, and sales through their tuck shop and have managed to raise £1000 which has been used to purchase gifts off Hospice at Home’s Amazon Wishlist. Among the gifts are memory boxes, hygiene and dental care products, grief books and pillows, which will be of benefit to those being cared for by their clinical staff, complimentary therapists and family support teams.
Douglas Ross, Chair of Eden Housing Association commented:
We’re delighted with the fundraising efforts of our staff who have raised money throughout the year. Not only is this a great opportunity for staff to get together and socialise, it also helps boost the Association’s chosen charity, Hospice at Home, who work tirelessly to ensure those in need can receive the care and support to remain in their own homes. Their values align with those of EHA, where we also provide support to our tenants, to remain in their homes and supported living accommodation for as long as they wish.
Samantha Davis, Hospice at Home, said:
Hospice at Home are incredibly grateful to receive these items from Eden Housing Association via our Amazon Wishlist. Not only will they bring care and comfort to our patients, but they will also help support their families during difficult times. Additionally, some items will support our fundraising efforts, helping us to continue delivering our services free of charge to our local community, providing care in people’s homes when it is needed most.
