Community Transport Week returns from 12–16 October, offering an opportunity to celebrate the services and people who help communities stay connected.
Organised by the Community Transport Association (CTA), this year’s theme, Driving Communities Forward, recognises drivers, volunteers, staff and trustees, and the difference their work makes.
For rural communities, the week offers a useful opportunity to show why accessible, locally delivered transport matters, and to share the experiences of people who rely on it.
CTA is encouraging organisations to take part by sharing passenger and driver stories, contacting local media or inviting councillors and other decision-makers to see their services in action. It is also a chance to highlight pressures facing the sector, including driver recruitment, licensing, funding and rising costs.
Free resources includes press release templates, invitation letters, social media posts and Canva graphics.
Organisations are invited to use #CTWeek26 and #DrivingCommunitiesForward to join the conversation and share their plans with CTA.
