The Government is inviting individuals, organisations and communities across the UK to help shape how National Lottery Good Cause funding is distributed in the future.
The National Lottery Good Causes: Fund What Matters to You call for evidence asks what is working well, where funding should be directed and how it could become easier for communities and smaller organisations to access.
This is an important opportunity for rural councils and organisations to highlight the particular challenges faced by rural communities, including limited organisational capacity, the reliance on volunteers and the difficulty of competing for funding through complex application processes.
RSN members are encouraged to respond and ensure that rural needs and experiences inform any future changes.
The call for evidence closes at midday on 23 September 2026.
