HMRC Seeks Insights from Self-Employed Individuals in Rural Areas: Help Spread the Word

HMRC is conducting important research to better understand the challenges faced by self-employed individuals in rural areas who may have limited internet access or lack confidence in using computers for financial management. This research aims to ensure that HMRC’s services are inclusive and accessible to all.

They are particularly interested in speaking with individuals who:

  • Live in areas with little or no internet access, or
  • Aren't confident using computers to manage their business tasks.

If individuals in your community fit this profile and their businesses aren't VAT registered, HMRC would like to arrange a one-hour phone interview to learn more about how they manage essential tasks without the internet. Participants will receive a £45 Love2shop voucher as a thank-you, redeemable at various high street stores.

We encourage you to share this opportunity within your networks to help reach those who can provide valuable feedback.

For more information or to refer interested individuals, please contact:

By spreading the word, you’ll be helping HMRC make their services more effective and inclusive for everyone, particularly those in rural areas.
