National Rural Crime Action Week 2026 takes place in September, bringing organisations and communities together to ensure rural experiences and priorities are reflected in the future of policing.
Taking place from 6–11 September, the National Rural Crime Network (NRCN) campaign will provide six days of discussion, shared experiences and action under the theme: “Police Reform Must Include Rural Communities.”
As members of the NRCN, the Rural Services Network recognises the importance of ensuring rural communities are represented when decisions are made about policing structures, priorities and resources.
Throughout the week, the campaign will explore serious and organised crime, the role of local rural crime teams, community confidence, partnership working and the changes needed to strengthen rural policing. It will also celebrate the farmers, volunteers, frontline officers and local organisations working to make rural communities safer.
Organisations, local representatives and residents can support the campaign by sharing their experiences and highlighting effective local initiatives. Organisations can also help by to raising awareness through their websites, newsletters and social media channels.
The National Rural Crime Action Week Campaign Pack contains daily themes, suggested social media content, campaign graphics and guidance on engaging local media.
