RSP Member - Shropshire Rural Housing

Shropshire Rural Housing was originally known as the “National Agricultural Committee Housing Association”, becoming Shropshire Rural Housing Association in 1985, with the aim of providing good quality accommodation for rent to people in housing need in the rural areas of Shropshire.

Our mission now is to “Provide the homes that help Shropshire’s Rural Communities Thrive”.  We currently own and manage about 300 homes ranging from flats for single people to family houses and bungalows for older people, and in the coming years we will be looking to build and purchase more homes in Shropshire to meet local housing needs.

We are a small housing association with charitable purposes meaning that all “profits” we make are re-invested in support of our charitable aims.  The day to day running of the Association is carried out by a small staff team, most of whom are based in our office in Bayston Hill.  The team is accountable to a Board made up of volunteers who meet regularly to oversee the activities of the Association.
