UK businesses developing proven solutions in transport and construction are being invited to apply for a new programme designed to help them take their innovations to the next stage of commercial growth.
Connected Places Catapult has opened applications for its Scale-Up Support Programme: Transport and Construction, funded by Innovate UK. The programme is aimed at small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) that have already demonstrated their solutions in real-world environments but need support to reach new customers, partners and investors.
Successful applicants will receive a tailored package of fully funded support, including scale-up coaching, commercial guidance, investor readiness support, peer learning and introductions to investors and industry stakeholders.
The programme could be of particular interest to businesses developing transport and mobility solutions with potential applications in rural areas, where challenges around connectivity, accessibility and the viability of conventional transport models continue to drive the need for new approaches.
Applications are open to UK-registered SMEs operating in the transport or construction sectors with solutions at Technology Readiness Level 7 to 9.
Applications close at 12 noon on 11 September 2026.
Connected Places Catapult will also be joining the Rural Services Network’s National Rural Conference 2026 in September, contributing to our Rural Transport session and the wider discussion about the future of rural connectivity.
