Housing association LiveWest said it has invested more than £33m in rural homes across the South West during the last financial year having built 219 homes in rural areas.
Some 87 of those were in Cornwall with 40 affordable homes being built in Marazion, 24 in St Stephen and 16 in Helston, Cornwall.
It means 51 per cent of homes developed by LiveWest in the Duchy were classed as rural.
