We know your Parish Council has a vital role to play in enabling the communities you serve and support to not only survive, but to thrive during these increasingly uncertain times. We also know rural services are coming under increasing pressure and we need Rural Parish Councils to get involved in this issue at this time, without a strong collective voice, we risk being left behind.

The Rural Village Services Group (RVSG) is therefore currently being created to help you to deliver improved outcomes for your communities through shared collective pressure, rural knowledge and learning from others in membership.

Membership of the Group is FREE for six months and at a nominal membership fee thereafter.

Rural Villages are not afforded equal access to services and opportunities that are provided to their urban counterparts. It is more important than ever that as a collective-group villages across England are given a voice into Central Government and other decision shapers across England.

If we are to increase opportunities for funding, influence policy decisions and shine a light on the impact that our Villages have on our country’s economic prosperity and quality of life, we need to come together and play that voice into Government.

The RVSG is part of the Rural Services Network who have had successes in influencing Government policy decisions and fairer funding for rural areas, demonstrating how a collective voice can improve outcomes and create impact.

The RVSG will provide you with resources, connections, knowledge, and experience, that enables the representation of your Village and Parish to inform policy and generate improved outcomes for your communities.

Membership is simple and we recognise you are already busy so you can engage as little or as much as time and resource allow, whilst we ensure that you get the best value from the work we undertake for the Group, essentially providing you with valuable additional resource and tools.
