February Edition of Casebook - Health Funding Opportunities from the Rural Health and Care Alliance

This month’s featured funding opportunities are:

Tudor Trust

Offer grants, usually of over £10,000 over 2-3 years to charities. They look for fund projects/activities which display positive organisational characteristics, that address marginalisation, and that make a difference. Their fund will be closing to application from 1st April 2022.

The MSE Charity - Money Saving Expert

The MSE Charity gives grants to UK not for profit organisations that deliver activities which make a lasting impact on how people think, behave and manage their money. The key audiences that they are interested in providing funding for are individuals with Autism, Brain Injury or Stroke, those with Caring Responsibilities, Dementia, Disabilities, Learning Difficulties or Mental Illness. The current grant round closes on Friday 25th February.

NIHR - Health and Social Care Delivery Research Programme

The programme aims to commission high-quality, well-designed research which will be carried out by effective and efficient research teams, providing findings which meet the needs of NHS and Social Care managers and leaders. Examples of relevant projects include: Preventing avoidable mortality or morbidity, Improving quality of life, Improving the acceptability, experience and effectiveness of care, Improving the cost effectiveness of care, or Improving equity of care.

Medical research Council - Developmental pathway funding scheme

Funding is available for UK research organisations who are eligible for UKRI funding to develop and test novel therapeutics, medical devices, diagnostics and other interventions. Project should focus on at least one of the following stages of development: early development and design, pre-clinical testing or early-phase clinical studies.

Closing date: 23rd March 2022.

Medical research Council - Population and systems medicine research

Funding is available for research projects into population and systems medicine, including the impact of environmental factors, including the social environment, on health outcomes. There is no limit to the amount of funding available, however it should be appropriate to the project. MRC will usually fund up to 80% of your project’s full economic cost.
