Funding For West Norfolk

The Go Green West Norfolk project is offering grants of up to £8,000 to help community, village halls, and sports facilities in West Norfolk reduce their carbon footprint and enhance energy efficiency. This funding, sourced from the UK Shared Prosperity Fund through the Borough Council of King’s Lynn and West Norfolk, can cover up to 75% of project costs.

What Will be Funded? Grants are aimed at community-led improvements to:

  • Retrofit buildings with upgraded insulation, doors, windows, and roofs.
  • Install renewable energy sources such as solar panels, wind turbines, and associated battery storage.
  • Upgrade heating systems with options like heat pumps, new boilers, and smart heating controls.
  • Implement water-saving measures like rainwater harvesting and grey water recycling.
  • Add electric vehicle charging points.

Eligibility: Open to not-for-profit groups managing community spaces in West Norfolk. Projects must be completed by 31st March 2025, and properties should have at least a 20-year lease if applicable.
