Guidance for local councils during the coronavirus (COVID-19) outbreak has been produced by Government 

In the Budget on 11 March 2020, the Chancellor announced a package of measures to provide support for public services, individuals and businesses to ensure the impact of coronavirus is minimised.

Since then, the Ministry of Housing, Communities and Local Government has announced further measures and guidance to tackle the outbreak of coronavirus.

The advice provided includes the following points:

• Local government
• Homelessness and rough sleeping services
• Housing
• Procurement
• Pubs and restaurants
• Schools
• Social care
