Farming UK reports that according to Strutt & Parker, there is significant potential in the rural sector for farmers and landowners to diversify

The land specialists believe that rural sector has only scratched the surface of its potential when it comes to introducing diversified enterprises - whereby farms and estates can be developed into new innovative businesses alongside their core business.

Areas of diversification include tourism, hospitality, food processing, leisure, wellbeing and retail sectors. Researchers claim that this could become an important source of additional income within the largely changing rural sector.
