Hartpury’s Home Farm has just installed two cutting-edge DeLeval robotic milking systems, and the Digital Innovation Farm team couldn’t be more excited! This innovative technology lets cows decide when they want to be milked, which helps reduce stress and improve milk quality. Plus, it provides real-time data on herd health and productivity - making it easier for farmers to make informed decisions.

This installation is a big step forward in Hartpury’s commitment to sustainable farming and embracing technology to tackle modern agricultural challenges. Not only will it benefit the farm, but it will also serve as a fantastic learning opportunity for students and industry professionals.

A New Addition to Drive Innovation in Agriculture

Hartpury is excited to introduce Neave Anderson - Digital Innovation Farm & Agri-Tech Project & Industry Engagement Manager, who’s joining Hartpury with a strong background in sustainable agriculture and agri-tech. A graduate of the Royal Agricultural University, Neave has a wealth of hands-on experience in research and project leadership, working with institutions like Trinity College Dublin to develop practical solutions for sustainable farming.
