Following an All Party Parliamentary Group meeting for Rural Services, the Chairman Rt Hon Philip Dunne MP wrote to the Minister for Housing to consider:

• The importance of rural exception sites to deliver affordable housing
• Applying a simple rural definition
• Permitting local authorities to set their own site thresholds in rural areas
