New Report: National Parks and the Climate Emergency

The Campaign for National Parks has recently published their 'National Parks and the Climate Emergency' report

They believe that our National Parks have a key role to play in tackling the climate emergency, but only if they are fully equipped to do so.

The report identifies that much positive action is already happening, but that there is also more that can be achieved with the right leadership, the right powers and adequate resources.

They have a number of recommendations for both Westminster and Welsh Government and the National Park Authorities, including the introduction of new Nature, People and Climate Commissions.

The aim of these Commissions is to bring together landowners, residents, visitors, non-visitors and others to consider the changes needed and how best to achieve them.
