On Thursday 30th March the Government launched its plans to ‘scale up affordable, clean, homegrown power and build thriving green industries in Britain.’

The new Department for Energy Security and Net Zero was created in February and the manifesto for the Department, Powering Up Britain was therefore published last week.

This plan responds to the recommendations in the Independent Review of Net Zero by Chris Skidmore MP, agreeing with a number of the recommendations for 2025.
