RSN Hosts Successful BT Digital Switchover Information Sessions

The Rural Services Network (RSN) is pleased to share that we held two highly successful BT Digital Switchover information sessions last week. These exclusive RSN membership events engaged over 260 delegates, including representatives from town, district, and county councils across rural areas in England, as well as our partner organisations.

Aimed specifically at local authority councillors, these sessions provided a crucial platform for participants to engage actively and partake in meaningful discussions about the upcoming digital telephone line switchover. The engagement from all attendees were remarkable, reflecting the importance of this topic for our rural communities.

The sessions featured Vicky Hicks, Head of Engagement from BT Group, who shared valuable insights and updates about the digital switchover process. Attendees had the opportunity to gather information, share their views, and offer suggestions directly to BT, making the sessions highly interactive and informative.

We are excited to announce that due to the positive feedback and high demand, we will be holding another session exclusively for RSN members on Wednesday, 13 November. This is a fantastic opportunity for those who could not attend the previous sessions to gain vital information and ask questions directly to BT representatives.

Members can book their place for the upcoming session HERE. If you are unsure about your membership status, please do not hesitate to email our team at events@sparse.gov.uk for assistance.

Thank you once again to all the local authority councillors who participated. Your contributions are invaluable in helping us navigate this significant transition and ensuring our rural communities are well-informed and prepared.
