RSN Supports National Awards For Parish And Town Councils

The Rural Services Network is pleased to announce that it will be supporting the National Association of Local Councils (NALC) Star Council Awards this year to celebrate the hard work and dedication of the parish and town council sector.

The Star Council Awards shine a spotlight on the parish and town councils, councillors, county associations, and clerks who go above and beyond to serve their communities. The awards celebrate excellence in local leadership, innovation in governance, and meaningful community impact.

NALC invites entries from across the local council sector, including parish and town councils, councillors, county associations, and clerks. Nominees will be assessed on their achievements, leadership, creativity, and commitment to local democracy and service.

The nomination window closes on 5 September 2025, with the winners to be honoured at a special Parliamentary Reception at the House of Lords on 24 February 2026.

Commenting on the announcement, Cllr Keith Stevens, NALC chair, said:

"We’re delighted to have The Rural Services Network support for the awards. It is a fantastic opportunity for parish and town councils, councillors, county associations and clerks to showcase their achievements and their vital work for their communities. We look forward to celebrating the achievements of those who have gone above and beyond the call of duty to support their communities".
