Book now to attend our National Rural Conference, (in association with the CCRI), in Cheltenham on 3rd & 4th September) here. The keynote speaker for the conference is the Rt Hon Lord Foster of Bath, Chair of the House of Lords Select Committee on the Rural Economy.
As a newly signed up member of the Rural Services Partnership, we thought we’d take this opportunity to provide a top-level overview of who we are and what we do.
Lantra Awards develop and certify specialist training and qualifications for land-based and environmental industries. We’re what’s known as an awarding body.
We specialise in a wide range of areas including forestry, horticulture, agriculture, machinery, highways and much more besides.
Be it pest control or operating a lift truck; chainsaw maintenance or driving an ATV, all of our training is developed to meet latest industry standards.
Our nationally recognised courses and first-class training materials are developed by industry experts who know their subject inside out. So, whatever an individual’s training needs, with Lantra they can be sure they’ll be prepared for the real life work they do.
Our 350+ courses include ‘training only’ and ‘training with an assessment’ options and are packed with practical skills and technical content to help career development and success. We also offer e-learning to complement our face to face training options.
Our training materials and workbooks are recognised as some of the best in the business, ensuring Leaners’ walk away with the knowledge and confidence they need to progress effectively and safely in their careers.
Lantra’s qualifications are fully regulated and have equivalent status to those offered by other awarding bodies such as City & Guilds, NOCN and ABC Awards.
We’re in fact the ONLY awarding body that can lead from entry level training right through to expert user qualification and that all-important licence to operate.
To take our products to market, we work with a nationwide network of approved training Providers. They deliver courses on both a local and national basis, so customers can be sure there’ll always be a training venue close to where they’re based. We also keep the process for booking our courses as straightforward as possible too. A call to one of our Providers is all it takes – they’ll make all the arrangements.
One of our approved Instructors, who has been accredited under the Lantra quality assurance standard, will run the course. They’re the best in the business and highly skilled at ensuring Learners get the most out of their training.
We’re a One-Stop-Shop where everyone – be it a commercial business, a local authority or self-employed professional, they can be sure they’ll find the specialist industry training, delivered in a convenient location to the very highest quality standards
As a not for profit organisation we’re proud that more than 85,000 people choose to grow their skills with Lantra every year. Working in partnership with organisations like the Rural Services Partnership, we’re confident we can continue to grow that number even further.
