Liquid Gas UK: The trade association Championing the LPG and bioLPG industry in the UK

For over 70 years LGUK have championed and supported all sectors of the UK LPG industry and why we represent 99% of the LPG supplied in the UK market.

We work with and support gas suppliers, equipment and service providers, installers and a host of other businesses in the vast LPG supply chain.

As the voice of the LPG and bioLPG industry, Liquid Gas UK leads on engagement and lobbying activity with UK and Devolved Government across the four UK nations to effectively influence and inform policy. Our voices are heard from Westminster to Holyrood, the Senedd to Stormont.  

We are the authoritative voice on LPG standards and our safety Codes of Practice are both globally recognised and industry leading. They are compiled by experts from our team and feed in expertise on LPG and bioLPG to regulatory powers such as the Health and Safety Executive.

Our Vision

We have a clear vision and that is to deliver clean growth in the off-grid and portable energy markets.

We support the LPG and bioLPG industry to achieve clean growth by demonstrating that LPG and bioLPG can be the first choice for consumers and businesses.

In our 2040 vision we outline the industry’s ambition to transition to bioLPG and demonstrate how the LPG and bioLPG industry can contribute to Net Zero. For more than 80 years, LPG has been a key part of the UK energy mix and going forward the bioLPG pathway can support UK Government’s commitments to achieve climate change targets in an affordable and non-intrusive way.
