Reuters covered the work of social enterprise Broadband for the Rural North (B4RN), which operates in areas experiencing poor connectivity.
According to the report, B4RN provides broadband to 5,000 customers and offers internet speeds hundreds of times faster than the national market providers for £30 per month.
The article highlighted the example of an unnamed village in northern England so exasperated with poor broadband that residents decided to build their own network.
