Bookings are now officially open for the National Rural Conference 2025, which will take place online from Monday 15 to Thursday 18 September.
This is the Rural Services Network’s flagship event of the year, bringing together rural decision-makers, practitioners, and advocates for four days of live, interactive sessions focused on the future of rural communities.

Rural Housing Activities

The Rural Services Network is involved in the following activities relating to rural housing:


• An annual All Party Parliamentary Group (APPG on Rural Services) on specific rural housing issues.


• Community of Practice discussion forums on specific current issues, for example to identify case studies demonstrating the impact of government policy.


• Development of 'How to' guides on specific topics of interest including good practice examples.


• Production of responses to relevant national consultations.


• Quarterly housing bulletin to the Network including input directly from housing members.


• Dedicated rural housing information/articles in more frequent Network bulletins.


• Direct and regular contact with the rural housing lead at Defra.


• Direct and regular contact with the Homes & Communities Agency on rural housing issues.


• A link to the Chartered Institute of Housing's annual conference.


• Access to other network services including our weekly news digest, monthly Opportunities Bulletin, surveys and annual seminar programme.
