Seven out of 10 happy with council support

The MJ has published research from the Local Government Association showing that seven out of 10 people are very or fairly satisfied with the way their council is supporting them and their household during the COVID-19 pandemic

The polling found that more than six out of 10 people were ‘very or fairly satisfied’ with the way their council was supporting their community during the pandemic.

Nine out of 10 people said their council was managing ‘very or fairly well’ to keep its services running normally during the lockdown, while 77 percent thought their council was managing the response to COVID-19 ‘well’.

However, more than half of the people polled thought their council was not keeping them ‘very or fairly well’ informed about the pandemic.
