DEFRA is recruiting new members to five positions on the department's Civil Society Advisory Board.
The opportunity is open to anybody with a strong understanding of civil society and its interface with government.
Applicants will join the board in a personal capacity, says the department.
Applications should be able provide authoritative, high-level advice to Defra ministers and senior officials about the broad range of Defra's policy interests.
Defra's 16-strong Civil Society Advisory Board was established in April 2009 as a non-executive advisory group.
The role of the board includes providing advice about the most effective ways of engaging with civil society in England
As a result of board members stepping down, there are now five vacancies which Defra is seeking to fill by the end of March 2012.
Closing date for applications is 9 March. Full details are available by clicking here.
