YorBus rural transport scheme now has 450 users

Darlington and Stockton Times reports that the organisers of pioneering rural transport YorBus, trialling one of the country's first on demand services, announced that there are now more than 450 active users

The service runs between Bedale, Masham and Ripon with 4,500 journeys completed, an average of about 24 journeys a day.

YorBus revealed an average ride rating of 4.8 stars out of five with County Councillor Don Mackenzie, executive member for access, highlighting that "the user ratings alone demonstrate just how popular it [YorBus] is in our most rural communities.”
