The keynote speaker for the conference is the Rt Hon Lord Foster of Bath, Chair of the House of Lords Select Committee on the Rural Economy.

The “The Unreachables” – Making Delivery Work Through Partnership Across the Rural/Urban Divide seminar was held at Cheshire East Council, Town Hall, Macclesfield, Cheshire SK10 1EA on the 11th of February 2014

- Julie Betteridge (Head of Regeneration and Community, Copeland Borough Council) - Connecting rural and urban communities through community benefit funding – The Experience of the Copeland  Community Fund
- Dave Tayler (Deputy Director, Yorkshire Dales Millenium Trust – Settle Geo-trail) - Connecting the landscape and the local economy using social media and working with local communities and businesses
- Colin Walker (East Riding of Yorkshire Council) - Community Transport Solutions to reaching “The Unreachables”
